Thankfully, sitting for an exam is not necessary for D Pharma courses.

A few colleges also give admission to D Pharma on the basis of the 12th standard.

There might be different entrances in various states or colleges, while some may look into the results of the national or state-level exams. Besides, some institutions may give students direct entry if they score well in the qualifying examination.
That's why it is very important for the students to know the prerequisites of the college or university they want to join.

The difference between D Pharma and B Pharma is that B.Pharma is a Bachelor's programme of four-year duration whereas D Pharma is a two-year Diploma course. Most of the B Pharm courses are offered strictly on the basis of national-level or state-level entrance examinations whereas D Pharma courses are generally offered on the basis of merit by various institutions.

Also, there is a huge difference between both courses, based on their course curriculum. B Pharma has a wider course structure in comparison to D Pharma and offers more subjects and credits than D Pharma.

No, candidates cannot pursue D Pharma if they are from the Commerce stream.

In India, most D Pharma programs require candidates to have a Science background with specific subjects at the Class 12 level, including Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics. As a Commerce student, candidates may not meet the typical eligibility criteria for D Pharma admission since they would not have studied the necessary Science subjects.

Yes, you can pursue a Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharm) after completing a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) graduation. However, it's important to note that the transition from a computer-related field like BCA to pharmacy may involve a significant shift in subjects and career focus.

Candidates might need to fulfil certain prerequisites or additional requirements to enrol in a D Pharm programme since the subjects studied in BCA and pharmacy are quite different.

After pursuing D Pharma candidates can either choose to pursue B Pharma by taking admission through lateral entry.
