Hello,
Philosophy is the ability of the mind to put things in perspective. It's the ability to differentiate between nuances of similar thoughts. It's about ethics, it's about logic.
It's a very interesting and fascinating subject. The subjects that are taught at graduation level are Indian Philosophy, Western Philosophy, Ethics, Logical reasoning, Problems in Philosophy, Philosophy of religion, etc. The names may change from university to university but contents are similar. The aim of all these subjects is to give a solid grounding to the student to enable him to be perfect in ethics, logic and logical analysis.

Political science is a field which deals mostly with practical and empirical aspects (except few topics in political science like classical political theory).
Whereas philosophy is more abstract, normative and prescriptive in orientation.
Philosophy seeks to find answers behind why factor, like why particular phenomenon whether social, political or economic is happening and its roots and origins and endeavors to bring it closer to ideal situation.
