Yes, you can take admission to MSW course at most universities of India even if you have completed graduation in Physics subject.

Most of the MSW colleges in India accept graduates with at least 50% marks and do not consider the subject field requirements. Although students must keep in mind that admission criteria for MSW course in colleges of India might vary.

Students are advised to check the subject requirement in their selected college first for MSW course before applying for admission.

Candidates need to pass their 10+2 education from recognised educational boards to be considered for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam. You need to pass in all subjects, including Physics, to be eligible for the NIFT exam. NIFT does not enforce any particular minimum percentage requirement, making your overall 61% valid after successfully completing all your tests.

I totally get your situation! If you're expecting around 40-50 out of 70 in Physics and aiming for 75%+, giving an improvement exam is a smart choice. Yes, it's usually possible to reappear for Physics only, but you should check with your exam board's specific rules on improvement exams.
