Amplitude is proportional to the slit – width, thus,

A 1 A 2 = 3

l m a x l m i n = ( A 1 + A 2 ) 2 ( A 1 A 2 ) 2 = ( A 1 A 2 + 1 ) 2 ( A 1 A 2 1 ) 2 = ( 3 + 1 ) 2 ( 3 1 ) 2 = 4 .

l = l 0 c o s 2 θ = 1 0 0 * c o s 2 ( 3 0 ° ) = 7 5 L u m e n s

Note : As the incident light is unpolarized, intensity of emerging light does not depend on the polarization axis of polarizer.

β = λ D d = 5 0 0 * 1 0 9 * 1 2 * 1 0 3 = 2 5 0 * 1 0 6 m = 2 5 0 * 1 0 3 m m = 0 . 2 5 m m

λ R e d > λ v i o l e t

β = λ D d Fringe width

If the source of light used in a Young's double slit experiment is changed from red to violet : consecutive fringe lines will come closer.

At central point on screen, path difference is zero for all wavelength. So, central bright fringe is white and other fringes depend on wavelength as β = λ D d .

Therefore, other fringes will be coloured.

f1=100=fo (CCVS)

C = Speed of sound

Vs = Speed of source

f2 = 50 = fo =  (CC+Vs)

f1f2=2=C+VSCVS

fo=2003=x3

x = 200
