ELIGIBILITY FOR CPL (COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE)
EDUCATION :
Minimum qualification required is 10+2 with physics & Maths.
or any Equivalent as approved by DGCA.
Medical :

Flying Training :
The Candidate has to complete 200 Hours (Two hundred hours) of flight time for completion of the course.

Pilot & animation are two different careers. If your son wants to take up animation as a career, he should be prepared to draw (sketching) & paint. He cannot rise high in a career in Animation unless he develops excellent drawing & painting skills (mainly drawing). Robotics is again a different field. He will have to take up a career in engineering in computer science to become a robotics engineer. A Robot is an interdepartmental engineering application requiring skills of a computer engineer, electronics engineer, mechanical engineer, materials engineer, etc. I can assure you that if your son does animation degree course from a good college, he will have no problem in finding a job. Rather companies always look for good animators. He can become a storyboard artist, animatics artist, layout & background artist (also called the concept artist), animation artist, compositing artist, rigging artist, modeller, VFX artist, etc. Remember that 2d animation is the key. Without strong fundamentals, he will not go far. Starting salary can be from Rs. 15-25,000/- per month. He can reach in 3-5 years yearly salaries of Rs. 4-6 LPA. He can also think about a career in game designing as a game artist, which is a specialisation of animation. There is a huge demand for game artists. Game programmers are different people requiring computer science background. Entrance exam to becoming pilot is Pilot Aptitude Test (PAT). PAT is a common name for entrance conducted by different institutes and flying clubs and schools. About PAT: This exam checks candidate's proficiency in Mathematics, English and some basics of air navigation, which consists of subjects like- Physics, Geography, Aerodynamics etc. Physics, English, Maths and Geography are totally 12th standard based. If we talk about any big or national based entrance, then it is WOMBAT. WOMBAT is conducted by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Academy (IGRUA) which is a national level entrance for getting admission into India's Best Pilot training school/institute I. e; IGRUA.

Yes, you can definitely go for commercial pilot license training. Basically, the minimum requirement for the course is, you need to have Maths and Physics in your 12th. So, you have already completed your graduation by the time you join the course, so it will not make much difference, you only have to pass one exam which will not be a big deal for you as its not next level exam. So, indeed you can join any pilot training school even after your graduation, the restrictions come only with the age. If you are over 30 years old then you might not be allowed for that, but in rest other cases you are allowed
In case you have not passed out 12th with Maths and Physics, then you will have to give 2 exams of Math and Physics conducted by National Institute of Open University School [ NIOUS ]. And if you pass those exams then you are eligible for Pilot training, and for appearing for the exams of the same.
