Once confirmed with the necessary endorsement, commercial pilots are paid handsomely. Entry-level pilots can earn up to Rs 1.5 Lacs per month with domestic airlines and even higher on international routes. Senior pilots can earn in the vicinity of Rs 5 Lacs upwards per month.

However to help you I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about eligibility and all other related issues.

I must at the outset state that, its a very good decision that you are taking. Basic eligibility for joining an academy to get trained as a commercial pilot is class 12th. I am attaching a link to a sample aviation academy in Thiruvananthpuram. Go through it to know about intricacies etc.

Hello, technically speaking diploma is equivalent to 12th. The issue is, is it equivalent to 12th with PCM? There is no clear answer. Some institutes do accept. I am sure Carver too will accept. I would, therefore, like to advise you to contact the admissions in charge of the academy and pose your query to get an authentic answer. For joining IIT, a Diploma is accepted as equivalent to class 12th. Best wishes to you.

The CPL training eligibility requires you to have maths as a subject for admission. Therefore, it would be a good idea to pursue maths.

The candidate must have cleared 10+2 Science stream schooling with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects (age of candidate should not be less than 17 years when the course starts).
* Non Science stream students may pursue the required subjects through NIOS. NIOS schooling can be used to meet the above mentioned requirements. Apart from NIOS, non Science stream students may also pursue the required subjects as private candidates from their respective state boards too!
* The minimum marks required is 50% (may vary from Institute to Institute) aggregate marks.
