The fee charged is R42 Lacs whereas the cost of training of CPL at IGRUA is more than 45 Lacs. The gap is made up by the Government. There is no other subsidy or relaxation in training fee available to any candidate including SC,ST and OBC.

To become a commercial pilot you should pass your class 12th with PCM group and at least with a 50 percentage in class 12th, then you can apply for an Aviation school and Complete your DGCA pilot training and get your pilot License.

Women officers are inducted in the Indian Army through the Shot Service Commission (Non-Technical) scheme. Under this scheme, the female candidates aspiring to be part of Indian Army must appear for Combined Defence Services Examination. The CDS exam is conduced twice a year, in the months of July and November by UPSC.

In case you have passed 12th Science, you may join a CPL training programme if you meet the above mentioned educational and medical standards. You may approach private institutes, fill forms and get started. You should have Physics and Maths in class 12th after that Clear DGCA class 2 medical and get your File Number. Take initial ground class for an experienced instructor. Choose a good flight training school. Clear theory & flying exams and get your CPL.

Eligibilty criteria for appearing in exam for Loco pilot is as follows: (a) Candidate must complete the minimum 10th standard (b) Candidate need to complete the ITI (approved by NCVT/ SCVT) in any specific trade to apply for this post (c) Candidates who completed the Diploma in Engineering are also eligible
If you meet the above mentioned eligibility criteria, then you may apply for Loco pilot job.

Once you clear that, you need to figure out from which Aviation academy you will commence your flying. Different stages of CPL are -
1. Student pilot license
2. Private pilot license
3. Instrument rating
4. Commercial pilot license. Multi engine add on. During different stages, you will have to clear DGCA examination, the subjects would be Air regulation, Meteriology, Navigation, specific, Technical, human performance and limitations, Radio aids. DGCA cut-off marks for these examination are 70 percent.
