Physical counseling is an in-person round held on campus to fill any remaining vacant seats after the two online rounds. For PU CET (UG) 2025, physical counseling was scheduled for August 6–8, 2025. 

The 1st round seat allocation list was scheduled to be released on July 14, 2025. Students can check the PU CET (UG) portal or website on that date to see the allocation.

Once this list is up, candidates could review it and email any discrepancies. Objections to the tentative list could be submitted by email from July 5–7, 2025. For example, if someone's name was missing or category was wrong, they could write in during those dates. University would then verify and correct any valid issues. 

The 1st round seat allocation list was scheduled to be released on July 14, 2025 (evening). This list shows which course and category-wise seat each candidate has been allotted based on their merit rank and submitted preferences.

Panjab University conducts two rounds of online counseling for PU CET (UG) seats, followed by any necessary physical counseling. For 2025, the schedule was:

• First round seat allotment: Seat Allocation List released on July 14, 2025 (evening). Candidates allotted seats in this round were to report July 15–17, 2025.

• Second round seat allotment: Second Seat Allocation List released on July 22, 2025 (evening), with reporting on July 23–24, 2025

After considering all objections, the provisional merit list (essentially the final ranked list of qualified candidates) is released. For 2025, PU CET (UG) provisional merit list was published on July 14, 2025 (evening). This date coincides with the first round of seat allocation (see next section). In practice, once the provisional list is out, it is treated as final for allotment purposes. All candidates whose names appear on that list are eligible for the next step of counseling and seat allotment.
