Hi.

You can apply for PGIMER postgraduate medical courses if you:

  1. Hold an MBBS degree (or BDS for dental specialties) recognised by NMC/DCI.

  2. Have completed compulsory internship by the required date.

  3. Meet the minimum marks threshold in your qualifying degree.

  4. Are registered with a medical council.

  5. Appear in and qualify INI-CET, followed by counselling/seat allocation

Hi.

Yes  admissions are merit-based, but the merit is defined by the entrance test performance (INI-CET) rather than college grades or aggregate marks alone.

You must qualify and rank well in INI-CET to be competitive for PGIMER seats.

  • PGIMER/INI-CET Admit Card (your exam hall ticket)

  • INI-CET Allotment Letter/Seat Allotment Letter (from counselling)

Only FEMALE candidates who have cleared class 12 exams or equivalent exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects and have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate. The detailed eligibility criteria is provided in the programme prospectus released by the exam conducting authorities.
