Yes, PGIMER BSc Nursing application forms will be available on the official website of the institute, tentatively from March or April 2026. Applicants should indicate his/her choice of city of examination at the time of filling the online application form. After the test centre is allotted based on the choice of the applicant, it will not be changed. Any request in this regard will not be entertained. Please take a printout of the application form for future reference.

There are a total of 62 seats in the PGIMER BSc nursing (Hons.) programme. General category candidates have 22 seats, SC category candidates have 07 seats, ST category candidates have 04 seats, OBC category candidates have 14 seats, and PwBD category candidates have 03 seats in all. Candidates having Color blindness are eligible provided that their color blindness can be corrected with contact lens and spectacles worn by such candidates. So, the number of seats mentioned for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) will be adjusted against the category to which he / she belongs.

Students must not be more than 25 years of age and should not be less than 17 years  for the PGIMER BSc nursing programme.

Only FEMALE candidates who have cleared class 12 exams or equivalent exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects and have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate. Yes, it is mandatory for the applicants to appear separately for the PGIMER BSc Nursing exam because NEET-UG score will not be aceepted by PGIMER, Chandigarh for the BSc nursing programme. PGIMER BSc Nursing exam is a gateway for admission into BSc nursing course and the candidates should have passed class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. A separate counselling will be conducted by PGIMER for grating admission to candidates on the basis of the merit scored in the entrance exam. 

PGIMER BSc Nursing 2026 entrance exams will be organized and conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, for admissions in BSc Nursing programmes like BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing. It is an online (Computer-Based Test) which will be conducted for a duration of 90 minutes/1.5 hours. There will be 100 multiple-choice questions in the exam, of 1 mark.
