Absolutely! A large number of NTT students are graduates who want to build a career in education or switch careers. But in my opinion if you already have a Bachelors degree then go for B.Ed as it opens more career opportunities. Being a graduate also opens up more growth opportunities after NTT, like pursuing B.Ed, D.El.Ed, or MA in Education later.

Of course, most NTT programs include practical training or internship in a preschool or nursery school as a compulsory component.

This includes Classroom observations, Assisting lead teachers, Conducting circle time, activities, rhymes, or storytelling sessions. It also includes Managing classroom discipline and child engagement, Creating and using teaching aids.

Practical training helps build confidence, classroom handling skills and real-life teaching experience.

Your salary depends on the school type, location and your experience. Here's a general idea that will help you decide:

  • Private Schools (Starting Salary): INR 8,000-INR 18,000/month.
  • Government Schools (After CTET & Selection): INR 30,000-INR 45,000/month.
  • International / High-End Preschools: INR 20,000–INR 35,000/month.
  • Tuition or Coaching Centers: Based on number of students and how much charge for each student.
  • Own Preschool: Individuals can easily earn INR 50,000+ monthly with success.

Note- The above salary has been taken from external sources, and hence may vary.

While initial salaries may be modest, growth is steady and you can eventu

If you want to teach in a government school then yes you'll need to clear the following exams:

  • CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)
  • State TET (like UPTET, HTET, BTET, etc.)

But if you are planning to work in private schools, preschools or even in tuition centers then PTT is enough to get you started. Many people also gain experience and then appear for CTET later.

Here's a quick comparison:

CourseFull FormFor TeachingDurationEligibility
PTTPrimary Teacher TrainingClasses 1-51-2 years10+2
NTTNursery Teacher TrainingNursery/Kindergarten1 year10+2
D.El.EdDiploma in Elementary EducationClasses 1-82 years10+2 (50%)

If you want to work in government primary schools  then D.El.Ed. + CTET is often preferred. But for private schools, PTT and NTT are widely accepted.

PTT courses provide you with the skills and information required to be a successful primary school teacher. Learning about child development, classroom management, and teaching approaches are all part of this.

If you enjoy dealing with children and assisting them in their learning, a PTT course may be a suitable choice for you. Qualified primary school teachers are in high demand.

Teaching is a difficult yet rewarding career. Primary school instructors have a significant impact on the lives of their children. They assist youngsters in developing the academic and social skills required for success in school and in life.

To apply for a preprimary teacher at any school, you need to first of all have the necessary qualifications for that, like DPSE (Diploma in Pre-School Education), etc. This will help you to secure a job easily. Then to get a job, you can start by looking for schools in your area that have vacant seats for a preprimary teacher. You can take help from local newspapers or online job-finding websites. Once you shortlist the list of schools in which you are interested in, you can send your resumes to the schools through mail or by visiting the school personally. If the school finds the potential in you, you'll surely get a call, and you'll

Yes, you can definitely apply for preprimary teachers in any school if you have completed your DPSE from not only Ramakrishna Teacher Training Institute but also from other institutes. The programme aims to equip prospective teachers with the knowledge and skills to understand and cater to the developmental needs of children from conception to age 8, emphasizing early childhood care and e
