All the latest programming languages have merits and learning a new language is always beneficial. The only demerit a language can have is to become obsolete when a better language or a new framework comes in the market.

Nowadays, Java is included in first course of computer programmer languages in majority of engineering colleges syllabus in first year of B.Tech C(SE).

No, as you are going to learn basics of engineering in the first year but after that, (in second year-third year) you can join these courses.

It is a good idea to learn at least one programming language before your graduation studies in computer science. You may learn C+ which is the most common programming language in the university education.

Hello Muhammad,
It's good to know that you had CS in 12th. Normally, in a good sized city, there are courses small or big conducted for students like you. Go to that Institute and join a course for Java or some language. Then you can do 2nd course also in another programming language.
