The difference between a Psychiatric Nurse and a Psychiatrist is that the Psychiatrist is a Medical Doctor who has completed a specialised degree in MD or DO, meanwhile the Psychiatric Nurse has studied the specialised Nursing field of psychiatry. Thanks!

For persuing Ph.D in Psychiatric Nursing from L.G.B. Regional Institute of Mental Health , you must have a master's degree Psychiatric Nursing or related field.

The admission process gets done in 3 phases 

  1. Online application through the online portal or using LGBRIMH prospectus guidelines.

Eligibility for Acharya Institute of Health Sciences for M.Sc. in Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing) ;
