Hello, Psychologists and psychiatrists are two distinct professions that address issues on various levels. After MBBS the former is a PG in medicine. Later, one might pursue a B.A. Or M.A. With psychology as a major. To become a psychiatrist, you must first pass the NEET entrance exam, receive admission, graduate from the MBBS programme as a doctor, and then pass the NEET PG entrance exam to enrol in this specialty programme. However, you can enrol in a B.A. Programme with psychology as your major subject if you want to become a psychologist. I wish you well.

Depending on the patient's clinical needs, psychiatrists may SEE their patients weekly or monthly for psychotherapy or psychopharmacology. Both professionals work together to aid in the healing of the mind; neither is superior than the other.
