Hi,
Not sure which state you are from and which college you are interested in but generally, after class 12 results, most universities invite applications for admission mostly are based on class 12 percentage cut-offs. If you get admission with in the series of cut-off list, you will be called for an interview and you get the admission if selected. But in some colleges and in some subjects, entrance need to be given to be eligible for admission.

Hi,
Yes, you can apply for Master's degree in psychology from any stream and you can pursue M.Phil in child psychology, and further you can think for Ph.D programs. The Master's degree is for 2 years and M.Phil is for 2 years, but Ph.D in regular mode is for 3 years from 2016 as per UGC guidelines.

BA psychology students take the course in a more traditional way whereas the B.Sc Psychology students take the course in the modern way.The traditional significance and importance of Psychology as a subject is imparted to the students of the BA Psychology course whereas the application of it is with the B.Sc Psychology course.The period of study of BA Psychology is three years in most universities.
