Both the streams are good. It depends a lot on your career goals. The MPH degree focuses on public health practice, as opposed to research or teaching. Master of Public Health programs are available throughout the world in Schools of Public Health, Programs in Public Health, Medical Schools, and Schools of Public Affairs. A Master of Social Work MSW degree programme provides students with advanced critical analysis, problem-solving and research skills, in preparation for various types of social work. MSW programs are generally intended for graduates with a Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology or a related field. Choose the path which best suits your interest.

Students graduating from this School are well placed in rewarding careers in a variety of health organizations in India and abroad. These include international agencies such as the World Health organization, UNICEF, NITI Ayog, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and in Maharashtra state health services, Maharashtra Nutrition Mission, International development agencies. Several students are working as research/PhD fellows at national research institutes such as International Institute of Population Studies, National Institute of Virology, National AIDS Research Institute, and at University departments in India and in the US and Europe. Students are also placed in leadership positions in well-known health NGOs. Some students are in pharma research companies.
