Radio Jockeying is a course which makes a candidate capable of voice modulation as well as bring in immediate changes in the script - as and when required. While most of the radio jockeys prefer private jobs as they give an opportunity to explore their creativity better, but government job opportunities also come handy.
One of the best opportunities being working as a radio jockey at All India Radio (AIR) - a Public Service Broadcaster. But one should be ready beforehand that this is not a commercial channel and deals strictly with news/public service information.
Another avenue of government job after completing a radio jockey course can be opened if a person has a Master's Degree/Ph.D or clears NET. Once either of these check boxes are ticked, one can take up the job of a professor/assistant professor in government colleges/universities and teach the students here.

Radio Jockeying as it looks like is not just about talking, it also includes music programming, scripting, presenting radio shows and lending voice to commercials, documentaries, etc. So one has to be very enthusiastic, confident, witty, spontaneous and creative. You need to have great inter-personal skills, clear diction and understand voice modulation. AIR holds auditions every three months and selected RJs are given training for two months and introduced to audio technology. If you are interested in the field, this can be a great start to a booming career. Apart from this, many institutes offer short term certificate course in RJ, voice overs like Jamia Milia, Delhi University, Radio City school of Broadcasting and IIMC.

Hello Vibhor, there are many good opportunities for jobs after completing B.Tech ECE. One can start a career by entering into State Government department jobs.
There are also many opportunities in the Central government departments like Defence, Railways, All India Radio, Airport Authority of India, Post and Telegraph, Indian Engineering Services, etc. One can get a job in Central Government departments by qualifying in the tests conducted by Union of Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC). One can find the notifications for such vacancies in their official websites.
