- The total number of questions asked in the preliminary examination is 100.
- The prelims exam is conducted for 100 marks.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- Marks deducted for every wrong answer is ¼.

The RBI Assistant 2023 Prelims exam took place on 18th and 19th November 2023 and the official cut off marks for RBI Assistant 2023 Prelims exam will be released soon along with RBI Assistant Prelims score card 2023. RBI Assistant cut off is the minimum mark that a candidate needs to qualify the exam. RBI Assistant previous years' cut off helps candidates to formulate a strategy for the exam. RBI Assistant cutoff is applied on individual sections and total aggregate marks. To qualify the each stage of the exam, candidates need to secure the section-wise as well as the overall cutoff marks.

RBI Assistant prelims syllabus comprises topics and sub-topics from Reasoning, Numerical Ability and English Language. RBI Assistant Mains syllabus includes five sections that are Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language, and Computer Knowledge. RBI Assistant exam is conducted every year Reserve Bank of India. The exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Assistants in RBI. Candidates between 20 and 28 years can apply for the exam. The selection process of RBI Assistant comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and local language test.

RBI will release both state-wise and category-wise RBI Assistant cut off along with the mark sheet & scorecard. RBI Assistant cutoff is applied on individual sections and total aggregate marks. To qualify the each stage of the exam, candidates need to secure the section-wise and overall cutoff marks. The cut off of RBI Assistant is the minimum qualifying mark that candidates need to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of the selection process. The cut off marks are decided based on the various factors. Candidates need to secure the cut off marks separately in each stage of selection process.

Candidates who qualify the prelims stage of RBI Assistant are called for mains. The marks obtained at this stage are not counted for the final merit list. This is prepared based on the mains exam subject to qualifying the Language Proficiency Test.

The interview score is sorted, considering only those who score above 40% (35% for SC/ST and PWD) in the interview.
80% weightage is given to the common written normalized score and then the remaining 20% is allotted to the interview.
While the IBPS clerk exams' final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the main examination.
Only those who receive a score of at least 40% (or 35% for SC/ST and PWD) in the interview are taken into account for sorting the results.
