There is no prior experience required for the candidate to apply for the RBI Assistant recruitment. Candidates who have completed their graduation can apply for RBI Assistant exam. The percentage required in graduation inorder to apply for RBI Assistant exam is 50 per cent. The age limit prescribed for RBI Assistant exam is 20 and 28 years. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for RBI Assistant exam. Candidates must check the eligibility before applying for the exam.

The applicant needs a bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% of the required credits. It is also sufficient for candidates who are SC, ST, or PWD to pass their classes in order to apply for the exam. A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% in any subject is required of candidates. People with qualifying grades from SC, ST, or PWD backgrounds, however, may apply. Selected candidates will be initially posted in RBI’s Office within the Recruitment Zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred in administrative exigencies to centres grouped and classified into West, South, North and East Zone offices. RBI Assistant receives a basic pay of INR 20,700 along with certain increments in salary. The pay scale is INR 20700-1200 (3)-24300-1440 (4) – 30060-1920 (6)-41580-2080 (2)-45740-2370 (3)-52850-2850-55700 (20 years).
