According to the SBI Clerk transfer policy, SBI Clerks or Junior Associates are not eligible for transfer be it within the state or outside the state. Earlier, SBI Clerks were allowed to request for transfer after successfully completing 5 years of service at their current location of posting. SBI Clerks and Junior Associates who were recruited through a special recruitment drive for Kashmir Valley, Tura, and Ladakh are allowed to request a transfer only after successfully completing 8 years of service at their current base location. From 2021, this option has been discontinued for the newly recruited SBI Clerks. The latest official notification states that no inter circle transfers or inter state transfers are permitted for Junior Associates or SBI Clerks who have been recruited. Posting locations are classified as normal centres, difficult centres and most difficult centres.

All candidates working in Government Sector, Government owned industrial undertakings,  Public Sector Undertakings / Financial Institutions/Banks, Public Enterprises or other similar organizations, whether in a permanent or temporary capacity or as work-charged employees other than casual or daily rated employees, are required to inform their employer (Head of Office/Department) in writing, about applying for this recruitment. Prior to the submission of their application online to the bank. At the time of applying online, candidates working in such organisations, are required to submit an undertaking that they have informed in writing about applying for this recruitment to their Head of Office/Department. Yes, candidates who are in their final semester or year of graduation are eligible to apply provisionally. However, if they are asked to come in for an interview, they must provide documentation that they meet the age, educational, and language proficiency requirements for RBI Assistants as well as proof that they have completed the graduation requirements. As of September 1, 2023, candidates shall be between the ages of 20 and 28. Only those who were born on or before February 9, 1995, and January 9, 2003, inclusive, are eligible to apply. As per government regulations, candidates who fall under the SC, ST, PWD, or Ex-Servicemen categories are entitled for an age relaxation.
