Sometimes they keep a GD-PI-WAT rounds in your own city if there are too many applicants, to select the best one's and the deserving one's from the crowd.
Otherwise, if there are less number of applications, they will conduct the telephonic interview as 1st round and the 2nd round is a Skype video call interview.
The faculties ask questions and they judge you on your confidence level, knowledge, extra curriculars, communication, participation in different events and function, your domain knowledge, knowledge on current affairs, news and media related questions, general knowledge and most importantly, the reason why you want to go for an MBA/PGDM.

Yes, RIIM college do provide mentoring programme. Every student is assigned a mentor in college. For two years in campus the mentor will guide you in your academics and placements. It will give number of assignment so that you develop your skills. Each mentor is assigned 20 students. So there is a ratio of 1:20. It is very much helpful for each and every student.
