Both finance and marketing are good in terms of career opportunities. It depends on your graduation. If you are a commerce graduate then go for finance as it will help you in career growth. In marketing, you will get the first job in the sales department. You should opt for the field in which you have a keen interest.

You can go for some certification like digital marketing and business analytics which are very demanding skills. You can choose course providers like Edx, Coursera, Swayam, Udemy and Simplilearn.

PGDM core is general. You will have an option in 2nd year to choose your specialisation. But, you have been selected for marketing. So, your specialisation is locked as of now.

For marketing, it's okay.
Last year, placements weren't bad. Almost 90% students got placed.
The highest package offered was 14 LPA.
Big brands like Eureka Forbes, AC Nielson, Airtel, Lodha, and ITC visited.
Most of the roles offered were that of sales executives/management trainee.
Everyone got an internship, barring a guy or two who eventually got to work on a professor's project.
The highest stipend was offered by Kalpataru (20k per month).
Some companies make you work for no stipend in return. Overall good to go ahead with.

Dear Abhi,
It is good and reputed one. So, without any doubt, you can pursue PGDM from there.
Thank you.
