The eligibility criteria for MIT School of Food Technology are different for each program. For the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program, candidates must have passed XII Std. (Science) in the 10+2 pattern with a 50% aggregate from the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination. For the Master of Technology (M.Tech) program, candidates must have a Master's degree in Food Science/Food Technology with a prerequisite of four years BTech/equivalent degree program, with a minimum of 70% aggregate. For the PhD program, candidates must have a Master's degree in Food Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognised university or institute. Additionally, candidates must qualify for the relevant entrance exam, such as MHT CET, JEE Main, PERA CET, NEET, or GATE, depending on the program.

Admission to the B.Tech programme at MIT School of Food Technology is based on the score obtained in MHT CET/JEE Main/PERA CET/NEET (Biology group/Mathematics group) exam. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech in Food Technology at MIT School of Food Technology, MIT-ADT University, requires candidates to have passed Class 12 (Science) with 50% aggregate from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an Equivalent Examination Board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and one subject from Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject. Those who have not been offered Mathematics or Biology have to complete a bridge course as prescribed by MIT-ADT University. The passing percentage for the reserved category candidates is 45%-50%

Candidates may be allotted different CUET 2026 exam centres for different dates and slots. However, the city would most likely be the same. Candidates must check the exam centre details carefully in the admit card and appear in the correct CUET centre. Candidates will be issued the CUET intimation slip three to four days prior to the day of examination. On release of the CUET intimation slip, candidates can know the exam centre allotted and can make the preparations for travel accordingly.

Candidates must note that different admit card and intimation slip will be issued for each exam. Candidates cannot re-use the admit card of previous slot or session.
