Yes, as BSc admission takes place through the score and rank secured in CUET entrance exam, the candidate has to apply for the exam to gain admission into the programme. Gauhati University does not accept or conduct any other exam for admission into the BSc programme. In addition to that, candidates should also have a minimum aggregate of 40% in their Class 12 to be eligible for admission into the Gauhati University BSc programme.

The college has not released the course-wise or branch-wise placement data. However, the overall placement details have been disclosed. Over 1,230 students were placed from all the courses during the 2025 drive. The placement rate recorded was 94%. The CUET registration for 2024 commenced on February 27, 2024, and ended on March 26, 2024, with the test being conducted from May 15 to May 31. The registration closure for CUET 2024 ended on December 20, 2024. Candidates must check for official announcements related to the dates for CUET 2025 registrations. Following traditional trends, it is expected that the registration for CUET 2025 would begin sometime around February 2025.

Yes, many BSc colleges in India do not require candidates to have a higher percentage to enroll. The minimum eligibility criteria to get admission to a BSc course is to obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate score in Class 12 with PCMB/PCM/PCB subjects.
