NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is needed to pursue MBBS and BDS only. So, if you want to pursue b.sc agriculture or whatever B.Sc courses NEET exam will not be considered.

The most notable difference from agriculture is that horticulture deals with small scale gardening and usually in enclosed gardens although this is not a necessity while agriculture is done on large scale with extensive crop cultivation. Agriculture is the Science of growing food crops and rearing animals for farming.

The duration of the course is two years. The candidates for this course must be Indian citizens. Also, you must have achieved a minimum of 50% in your graduation. In 10+2 level, you should have undertaken the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Some of the food technology colleges and universities in India are University of Calcutta, Delhi School of Home Economics, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Tamil Nadu GD Naidu Agricultural University, and so on.

B.Sc (Hons) is much more specialized as compared to the B.Sc (general) degree, and academically, B.Sc (Hons) is a more standard degree as compared to B.Sc (general).
If you want to study any one of the purse sciences (eg. chemistry, physics, mathematics etc.) in detail, it is advisable to go for a B.Sc (Hons) course.
But, if you want a more balanced and multi-disciplinary approach, it is better to pursue a B.Sc (General) course for under graduation.
