Hi Faisal,
Modulus of Rigidity - G - (or Shear Modulus) is the coefficient of elasticity for a shearing force. It is defined as "the ratio of shear stress to the displacement per unit sample length (shear strain)" .
Modulus of Rigidity can be experimentally determined from the slope of a stress-strain curve created during tensile tests conducted on a sample of the material.
Definition of Modulus of Rigidity:
The ratio of shear stress to the displacement per unit sample length (shear strain).
All the best.

If you have the potential to manage both the course, then do the same. Both the courses are poles apart, so you don't need to worry about dos and don'ts.

Yes, it is necessary to have Maths as a subject in 12th if you want to study Economics Hons. in DU. But if you belong to SC/ST category, its a good news for you as you would be exempted from this rule.

You have to make a beginning at a smaller level and gain practical experience. Chemistry is not directly related to machines. So, begin somewhere and learn the processes.
