After completing class 12th, you can either pursue BE/ B.Tech, B.Sc in biology or biotechnology or genetics/ microbiology and related fields. Ideally, you must be a students with PCMB background. A B.Sc is more common as not too many institutes offer UG level genetic engineering programs.
Entrance requirements vary from university to university. You can consider:
1. SRM University.
2. Institute of Genetic Engineering – Kolkata.
3. Aryabhatta Knowledge University, etc.

The need of study of various oceans is present in our world that is why the demand of oceanographers is increasing day after day. The oceanographers, study the ocean waters and their effects on sea life, the weather and many others. The oceanographers can work in the fields ranging from conservation to the oil industry.
Job duties vary depending on the specialization in this field of courses. A good place for an eligible oceanographer is to start from Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience in particular. The demand for jobs arises from the need for environmental protection and water management.

All the forms are available from the month of May. The online registration for Delhi University starts from the last week of May 2017 to the second week of June 2017. Issue and receipt of registration forms will be available at the registration centers from the first week of June 2017 to the third week of June 2017.

Commerce and science are the two broad categories. In commerce, you can go for arts/ design, business, finance and banking.
In science, you have engineering and medical. These are the traditional streams students choose. Some new streams are also in demand nowadays like bio- tech, nanotechnology, agriculture and genetic.
Students are also moving in fashion designing and interior designing. Research oriented students can go for KVPY and get into institutes like IISC, IISERs, etc. Commerce students can also go for CA.
