There is minor difference between B.Sc CS and B.Sc IT. There is an overlap of syllabus between 80 to 90% in both the graduation degrees. Syllabus of CS emphasise on theoritical Computational Sciences. IT emphasise on computer application in business. Both graduation degrees can help students to get junior level developer and tester role. Students are advised to plan education upto PG for a meaningful career in IT industry.

You are eligible to appear for CDS conducted by UPSC for selecting candidates for Commission in all the three services. You may also apply to OTS Madras for Short Services Commission in Army Navy and IAF have direct entry in ground duty branches and also SSC.
