As a thumb rule, one should opt for classroom studies when it comes to law. Even though law is a pragmatic and dynamic field where most learning happens during practice, the classroom discussions and debates are important to develop an analytical mind in the field of law. Furthermore, University of Mumbai is more reputed and, being based in Mumbai, there are more options in terms of internships and other co-curricular activities. Therefore, keeping these in mind, preference should be given to University of Mumbai.

Dr. Ambedkar Law University are both reputed colleges and provide good placement opportunities to their students. GGSIU is better than Dr. Ambedkar Law University but if a preference has to be made, one should consider other factors to decide other than placements. Other factors may include location, fee etc. One need to give weightage to this fact that one college is in the northern part whereas the other one is in the south. Every exam is as difficult or easy as the preparation of the candidate appearing for it. There are some subjects that are common to all entrance exams - legal aptitude, general awareness, English comprehension, numerical ability, etc. - for which preparation has to be done thoroughly irrespective of the exam that the candidate wishes to undertake. That being said, law entrance exams should not be taken lightly as there are Lacs of students competing for meager thousands of coveted seats.

During your time at law school, make sure you option for the subject of Cyber Law as you elective to get a theoretical understanding of what the subject is all about and what all it will encompass. Try and choose internships and apprenticeships under lawyers practicing Cyber law to build a good CV and also to gain a practical knowledge of the field that you are interested in. During your time at law school, make sure you choose Intellectual Property Laws as your elective as that knowledge will form the basis of Intellectual Property Law and also give you a theoretical understanding of what the field is all about and what all it will encompass. It is one of the most famous law colleges in the Delhi-NCR region. It is also among the first few preferences of students who look for colleges other than NLUs. The placements from this college are good. Although they may not be as good as top National Law Universities but students do intern and get offers from several law firms and top corporates. Punjab is among the best law universities after NLUs. They are providing really good placements opportunities for their students and many firms and companies like Trident India (9 lacs+), Wipro (8 lacs+), Pengea 3 ( 5lacs+), OSC Knowledge Center, HDFC Ergo, Legacy Law Mind Merchant, Quislex are coming which are offering average 6 lacs package to the students. The placement cell is really active and it placed 38 out of 40 students of 2014 batch which is 95% of those students who applied for the placements. The placement cell of Jamia is fairly active and mostly managed by the faculty. However, not much is known about the success rate of this placement cell. That being said, students of Jamia, in their individual capacity, have managed to secure jobs in some of the biggest companies as legal counsels solely based on their own caliber. Some of these companies include:
