SLAT Pattern

One of the important features of the SLAT 2023 exam pattern is that there is no negative marking for wrong or unattempted answers. This means that candidates will not lose any marks for incorrect responses or for skipping any questions. This gives them the advantage of attempting all the questions without worrying about losing marks. However, candidates should also be careful not to mark random answers, as it may affect their accuracy and overall performance. SLAT 2023 is an entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University for admission to its law schools. The exam consists of two parts: an objective test and a writing ability test. The objective test has 60 multiple-choice questions from five sections: Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Each question carries one mark, and the total marks are 60. The duration of the objective test is 60 minutes.

The question paper of SLAT 2023 will have five sections, namely, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Each section will have 12 questions, making a total of 60 questions in the paper. The questions will be multiple-choice based, with four options each. Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The duration of the test will be 60 minutes. The sections of the SLAT 2023 question paper are designed to test the aptitude and skills of the candidates for pursuing law as a career. The Logical Reasoning section will assess the ability to identify patterns, arguments, and assumptions in given statements or scenarios. The Analytical Reasoning section will measure the ability to apply logic and reasoning to solve problems and draw conclusions. The Legal Reasoning section will evaluate the ability to understand and apply legal principles and facts to various situations. The Reading Comprehension section will test the ability to read and comprehend passages of different lengths and topics. The General Knowledge section will check for awareness of Current Affairs and general information related to law, politics, history, geography, etc.

The SLAT exam day guidelines are available on the admit card of the SLAT exam. These guidelines or instructions are ascertained by the SET exam authority. As per the SLAT exam day instructions, candidates must bring a colour printout of their SLAT admit card along with a valid photo ID proof on the examination day. A black and white printout will not be accepted. They must paste their colour passport size photo on the admit card. The signature of the candidates on their respective admit cards is mandatory. All candidates are advised to report to the exam centre the latest by 7:30 AM and occupy their seats by 8:30 AM because the SLAT exam starts at 9:00 AM. A candidate must take the SLAT exam at the centre allotted to him or her. Taking tests from other test centres will not be allowed for him or her.
