According to the CUET PG exam analysis, a score of below 110 can be considered a low score in the CUET PG 2024 exam. Such a score may grant admission to BA, BA (Hons), BSc and BSc (Hons) courses in private and state universities. The expected CUET PG cut-off for the general category in 2024 is between 230 and 240. Similarly, the expected cut-off for OBC candidates is set between 220-230.

Yes,

BA Sociology is a good course. It is good for candidates who are interested in studying development and transformation of different societies.

It has a modern and progressive approach.

Also if a course is good or it is not, it all depends on individual's liking.

Of course, those who have completed an intermediate-level vocational course can apply for a BA Sociology. This is because an intermediate vocational course is considered equivalent to Class 12. They should have secured at least a 50% overall score in their vocational course. Pursuing an Arts degree with a Sociology specialisation enhances the candidate's employment prospects.

No, there is no age limit to pursue BA Sociology course and you can apply for this course at any age. Mostly, many students apply for this course immediately after completing Class 12. But it does not mean that others cannot apply. Colleges as well as entrance exam conducting bodies have set no age restrictions for applicants of BA Sociology course. Make sure that you satisfy other eligibility parameters such as academic qualifications, marks, appearing and passed criteria etc. before applying

Yes, you can apply for BA Sociology course after completing Class 12 in Science stream. BA Sociology like most Humanities courses is open to students from all streams. So, your stream in Class 12 does not matter. Though, most students who apply for BA Sociology are from Arts background. It is not necessary that you should have studied Sociology in school. But if you want to explore, you can go through NCERT books of Sociology for Classes 11 and 12

The scope of environmental sociology in the modern world is wide as it focuses on various areas such as ecological aspects, conservation of natural resources, pollution, impacts of the human population on the environment, etc.

Some of the major issues related to the environment nowadays are global warming, ozone depletion, deforestation, disposal of wastes, and desertification. The growing problems highlight the need for more attention towards this area.
