These days, emphasis is on CSE, Civil and Mech, but it also depends upon your choice. If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then of course CSE is for you but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the field then Civil and Mech. Are very good options. These days Civil and Mech. Students are also getting good offers. Now the most important thing is the university/ college that you choose for your degree. To become a software engineer, you need to pursue Diploma in software engineering after class 10th and then pursue Bachelors in software engineering to enhance your knowledge. Or you can also pursue BCA after completing PUC and become a software engineer.

If you had Maths in class 12th, then you are eligible for MCA. You can do IT courses. Indian IT companies prefer B.Tech CSE/B.Tech IT/MCA/M.Sc IT graduates for software roles. You may face challenges in finding job with IT courses and certifications.
