Management quota is seats reserved in private colleges for students to get admission without entrance exams. It is also known as institutional quota seats. The donation amount varies for all top colleges. Also, it is charged as per the reputation, rakings & placements offered by the college.

B.Tech in ECE from VIT should be your priority as they have a good placement record with the highest packages.

For civil engineering, VIT is good in terms of placement, but if you want to choose SRM it is also having a good academic exposure and nice teaching environment.

The decision would be based on your interest areas and long term career plans. If you want to pursue a career in academics/research/pure Science areas then B.Sc would be a better option. However, if you want to move into the technical/operations/general management side then B.Tech would be better. A B.Sc is a 3-year programme, whereas a B.Tech is a 4 year programme. A B.Tech programme is specialised course & does carry more weightage compared to B.Sc.

It would be better ti prefer VIT or SRM. I would suggest you to not take a drop.
