If your main goal is B.Tech CSE, I'd personally choose LPU. I studied MBA there, and one thing I genuinely liked was how much exposure students get outside the classroom. CSE students are always busy with hackathons, coding clubs, tech fests, internships, and placement prep. The labs are modern, the recruiter list is huge, and you'll meet people from almost every state, which honestly helps a lot with networking too.

SRM Chennai is a respected engineering university, no doubt. But if I had these two options today, I'd lean towards LPU because it offers a stronger all-round campus experience along with solid CSE opportunities.

SRM Chennai has been ranked at 56 under Management category in NIRF ranking 2025. Looking at the past year data, the deemed-to-be university was not ranked for its Management course in 2023 and 2024.
