Hi Sampurna,
I am afraid that there is no such quota.
The categories of admission are:
CATEGORY I:
GENERAL, selected on merit.
CATEGORY II: Catholics, other Christians, SC, ST, OBC and schools administered by the Calcutta Province of the Society of Jesus.
CATEGORY III: Economically challenged, physically challenged, outstanding sports persons and NCC Cadets.
CATEGORY IV: Sons and daughters of College Alumni Association members with long standing record of service to College and society.

Hey Manas,
They cut-off changes every year and is pretty high.
Do read anything and everything about science and media, questions come from that.
You might find some sample papers on the internet.
Do check.
Wishing you good luck.

Hi Ishika,
Congratulations on successfully completing your +2.
Coming on to your eligibility criteria, you do have good marks for applying in St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
But, on the index calculation basis, I am not sure about you getting into the merit list. Do give a shot!
If not the first list, do wait for the second list. I will give you all the required links below.
Eligibility criteria link: http://www.sxccal.edu/admissions/SXCAdmission2018/UG8102/EligibilityCriteria.htm.

Hi Manisha,
There is a need of a minimum marks to apply for the course. But at this moment I can't say the cut off marks on the merit list. As you know it fully depends on the marks of the applicants. The more you score the chance of getting your name on the merit list increases. As long as my knowledge says the 95% will be a good score.
I will suggest you to visit the following link to know more and also check the merit list when it's out. You can get an idea of the cut off.

All the best.
