Both these institutions fall under the institutional umbrella of the University of California, despite this, both institutions are selective to varying degrees. The University of California Riverside has an acceptance rate of around 76.4% while that of UCSD is around 25%.
Thus, securing a seat at UC Riverside is relatively easier as compared to at UC San Diego. Though, it must be noted that UC San Diego ranks #20 in the latest Shiksha Popularity Rankings while UC Riverside ranks #72.

Yes, Smith College requires Graduate Record Examinations scores as a part of their eligibility requirement for the admission of the students in some of the graduate programs
However, the college does not share the minimum score of GRE test required for the graduate program. Some of the courses that require GRE scores are International Economics, Master of Engineering Management, Health Professions, mathematics post-baccalaureate program, physics, and many others.
