Indian students need a Germany blocked account balance of EUR 11,904 (INR 13.25 Lakhs) for 1 year or EUR 992 (INR 1.1 Lakhs) per month. The amount is set by German govt. to make sure Indian students have enough to cover costs like rent, food, and healthcare.
ICICI, Expatrio, and Studely are some popular banks for Indian students to open a blocked account with.
1 EUR = INR 111.34

No. Visa officers focus on your university admission letter and financial stability. If a top-tier university has waived the GRE and granted you admission, the visa office will accept that decision without requiring a separate test score.

You must show proof of funds for:
- Tuition fees
- Living expenses
Example:
- USA: 1 year total cost
- UK: Fees + 9 months living cost
- Canada: Tuition + GIC
Keep money in your bank for 3 to 6 months before student visa.
