Vanderbilt Uni has an acceptance rate of just 4.6%, meaning that out of every 100 applicants who apply at Vanderbilt the uni is likely to offer the opportunity to enroll on the campus grounds to only 4-5 students. CU Boulder requires its international applicants to submit proof of their English Proficiency and secure the prescribed minimum scores in the tests for the same. The requirements for each test are as follows: 

English Proficiency Test

75 (83 for Engineering) 

IELTS 

6.5 

Duolingo  

120 (125 for Engineering) 

Students are advised to start working on their English skills early on since almost all study-abroad universities demand proof of English proficiency from their international applicants.

Submission of standardized test scores is not mandated by the University of Colorado Boulder. However, students are most welcome to self-report the same in their common applications if they'd prefer to. As per the statistics for 2025, the average scores of the students who chose to submit their ACT or SAT scores were as follows:

CU Boulder emphasizes the importance of a good academic profile in high school. The average GPA recorded for the students who submitted their GPA to secure admission at the University of Colorado Boulder stood at 3.79 (scale of 4).  

The mean composite of the students who submitted their entrance test score on the other hand was recorded to be 1278 for SAT and 30 for ACT. Students are advised to secure the minimum scores of either these averages or higher.
