The athletic teams of Cornell are known by the name Cornell Big Red. The university has 37 varsity sports teams for men and women. It is NCAA Division I institution. The varsity athletic teams of this university consistently challenge for NCAA Division I titles in a number of sports, including men's wrestling, men's ice hockey, men's lacrosse, and rowing.
