With an acceptance rate of 86%, SJU is a university that follows easy selection criteria during admissions. This does not mean the university accepts all the students applying for different programs. Yes, Dr. Seuss, American children's author and cartoonist is alumni of Dartmouth College. Originally named as Theodor Seuss Geisel, he adopted name Dr. Seuss as undergraduate at Dartmouth College. He pursued BA degree at Dartmouth and graduated in 1925. It was this college where he joined Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and the humor magazine Dartmouth Jack-O-Lantern, eventually rising to the rank of editor-in-chief. In 1955, Dartmouth College awarded Geisel (Dr. Seuss) an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters.
