Recognition of Degree: your B.Sc degree is preferably from a university that features in the list of association of Indian Universities (AIU). If it does then there will be no issues whatsoever for you to apply for post-graduation courses in India.
Equivalence certificate: In case your foreign degree is not listed in the AIU, you must obtain equivalence certificate from the same authority. This certificate testifies that your qualifications are equal to those of India.

Almost every Indian student pursuing a STEM course (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) at Brown University usually opts for Computer Science and Engineering. Tests accepted by Brown University are:
1. TOEFL: For admission, applicants have to pass the test TOEFL Internet-based test with a score of minimum hundred.
2. IELTS: The required score is usually a minimum overall band score of 7.0.
3. Test of English as a Foreign Language: An absolute minimum of 120 points will be needed.
4. PTE Academic: It is valid, but there is no further test score minimum.
5. Cambridge English: Both CAE and CPE apply, although there will be might be minimum required scores.
