The University of New South Wales is part of the Group of Eight (Go8) institutions. The Go8 is Australia's version of America's Ivy League.

Members of the Go8 are known as the pinnacle of academic excellence & quality education in Australia & is the highest recognition an Australian institute can attain.

Apart from UNSW, som other institutions make up Go8 including:

·      University of Adelaide

·      University of Melbourne

·      Monash University

·      University of Queensland

Several prominent local & global publications rank the institute very highly in its course & overall university rankings.

QS World as part of its the latest Global University Rankings ranks the institute #19 worldwide. The same publication also ranks it #1 in Australia & #29 globally for employability.

The UNSW B-School is considered one of the best management institutions in Australia & across the globe.

An unofficial source ranks the B-school #1 for its management courses in Australia. However, there are some other institutions that offer a similar level of educational environment to its students that are also ranked #1 by some other publications, such as: University of Melbourne B-School, Monash B-School, Sydney B-School among others.

The UNSW has an acceptance rate of around 50%, suggesting the institute is somewhat selective at admitting students to its management courses.

Interested candidates must perform well in past academics & entrance-level exams to have a good chance of securing admission to the B-school.

The tuition fee for a Full Time MBA programme at UNSW B-school is around INR 46.73 L. Students must plan well financially & account for some other costs they may incur over the duration of studies in Sydney such as rental, food, utilities, insurance, travel costs, etc.

The estimated annual cost of living in Sydney is around INR 13.8 L, this may vary based on the standard of living students decide to pursue.

The B-school's full-time MBA is ranked highly by domestic & international publications alike. A prominent local publication ranks the MBA programme as the #1 programme in Australia.

As far as global rankings are concerned, a prominent international publication in its 2024 rankings ranks the programme #79 globally while another ranks it #31, thus cementing the programme as one of the best in Australia & worldwide.

International students who are interested in full time MBA from UNSW must get minimum GMAT score of 550 to be eligible for admissions. It must be noted that this is only the minimum score requirement, in case of large number of applications being received, students with a higher GMAT score would be prioritized. Thus, interested candidates must perform really well in respective GMAT examinations.

It may be highly unlikely to get selected by a university abroad with this low score on your qualifying exam. Generally universities abroad look for a 60% and above scores for admission to their degree courses. With a score of 50%, one can get into either the Diploma courses or preparatory courses.
