IRCC has announced that international students are studying in Canada and have off-campus work eligibility are not restricted by 20-hour-per-week rule. Earlier, there was cap on the number of working hours. This rule is now not restricted to just 20 hours. They can now work for 24 hours per week.  A few of the part-time jobs in Canada that students can take up are Sales Associate, Translator, Writer, Teacher, Freelancer, etc.

If the work (co-op or internship or placement) is a crucial part of students’ study program, then it is required to have a co-op work permit before starting the work. The co-op education integrates on-the-job work experience with on-campus study. General, cop-ops are for 4 months. A few programs have mandatory co-ops whereas, some have optional.
