In order to secure an admission, all overseas applicants must fulfill certain Kent State University admission requirements listed below:
1) Undergraduate Requirements:
- Official secondary school transcripts;
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale);
- Proof of English language proficiency; and
- SAT/ACT scores (not mandatory).
2) Graduate Requirements:

Illinois State University has different GPA requirements for undergraduate and graduate applicants. Freshmen applicants will be required to submit a self-reported average GPA of 3.3 or more out of 4.0. Other than the Graduate School requirements for international applicants, the graduate students are required to submit an average of 2.8 GPA out of 4.0.
