B.Ed makes one eligible to be a School Teacher only. You become a PGT if you have a Master Degree as well. If you are a B.A. B.Ed, you can apply for the TGT posts. B.Ed is the basic requirement and yes, private schools also ask for the same. Eligibility.

To become a TGT teacher in government schools, you should clear B.A/B.Com/B.Sc (any one stream) +B.Ed+CTET level 2!
