Hi Deep, Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. It may be noted minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories is 50%. Candidates who are appearing or awaiting results for their final year examination of Master's degree are also eligible to appear for UGC NET 2018. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and will be considered for JRF and Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor only when they pass their Masters exams with required percentage. Hello, The UGC NET Exam is conducted in more than 80 subjects. Whereas the Exam pattern is same for all the subjects. The UGC NET Exam is conducted in two phases. UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2. UGC NET Paper 1 is conducted in the General Aptitude Test whereas the UGC NET Paper 2 is conducted in the Subject you have completed the Masters programme. The Paper 1 consist of 50 Questions of 100 marks. 60 minutes would be allocated for the Paper 1. The UGC NET exam is a national level exam which is conducted twice a year for the selection of assistant professor in the university and colleges, to pursue the Ph.D. and for junior research fellowship award.
