Hello Mukunda, No, you're not eligible for NET with your percentage. Minimum 55% in Master's degree is only eligible for NET exam. My suggestion is wait and do your best for good percentage and write the exam in next year. All the Best for your future.

Hello Vinay, Yes, you are eligible for CSIR NET. According to CSIR NET guidelines, candidates who have passed or in a qualifying year of post-graduation can apply for the exam. You can register, as a NET applicant only if you are in post-graduation. Minimum eligibility is Master's degree. You can apply after appearing for your final exams of Masters.

Yes, with 40% aggregate have qualified NET exam. Once you crack UGC NET examination, he/she will be selected for Junior Research fellowship which will be paid or Appointed as a Assistant Professor in the Indian Universities and Colleges. But, to participate in this entrance test you have to fulfill the required eligibility criteria.
