The UP TGT PGT exam is of 2 hours duration. The UP TGT PGT written exams are conducted separately. Both the exams are conducted in a duration of 2 hours. Candidates need to attempt the question paper within the given time frame. The invigilators at the test centres will not provide extra time to any candidate under any circumstances.

Candidates must carry the UP TGT PGT admit card to the exam centre. Candidates also need to take a valid ID proof such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, driving license, etc., along with the admit card to the centre.

Candidates cannot show the digital copy of the UP TGT PGT admit card at the examination centre. Candidates need to carry the printout of the UP PGT TGT admit card. The admit card serves as an identity proof for candidates for entry into the exam centre.

The UP Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) are selected for appointment based on their performance in the following stages - written exam, interview and special qualifications. The UP TGT PGT cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to obtain to clear the exam. The cutoff marks are decided by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB).
