Eligibility

BSc BEd

Candidates who have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Statistics (PCM) subjects fulfil RIE CEE eligibility criteria for BSc BEd course admissions under the Physical Science group.

Candidates who have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects fulfill RIE CEE eligibility criteria for BSc BEd course admissions under the Biological Science group.

Candidates should have cleared Class XII from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates).

Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams are also eligible to apply.

BA BEd

Candidates who have cleared Class XII in Science, Commerce, or Arts stream with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates) meet RIE CEE 2023 eligibility criteria for the BA BEd course. 

Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams are also eligible to apply.

MSc Ed

To meet RIE CEE eligibility criteria for MSc Ed course admissions, candidates should have cleared Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Statistics subjects.

Candidates should have also cleared Class XII from a recognised board with 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH category candidates).

Candidates appearing for their Class XII exams are also eligible to apply.

The RIE CEE 2025 exam dates are yet to be released. However, as per past year 2024 session the RIE CEE exam was conducted on June 2025. So we can expect the NCERT to conduct the exam in June 2025. The exam schedule will be released the official website of RIE CEE. Candidates will be supposed to check the complete exam schedule of RIE CEE 2025 at shiksha.com as well.

Generally, PGDM is better than D.El.Ed for commerce students. PGDM deals with advanced business management studies and focuses on professional specializations in the realms of finance, marketing, and operations. In the corporate world, one can get good career opportunities and often rises to managerial positions that carry higher salary possibilities.
While, on the other hand, D.El.Ed deals with the preparation of a person for teaching in elementary education. If he or she has interest in a career concerning teaching, then D.El.Ed will be the suitable one; but PGDM mostly offers a broader and often more lucrative career path in business

Okay so you are curious about B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed courses. I'll give you a brief for both courses so that you are well informed and make the right choice. B.P.Ed is a 3 to 4 year UG course that is all about sports and fitness training, exercise science and pedagogy. You can become a physical education teacher at schools, gym trainers and fitness instructors.

M.P.Ed is a 2 year program where you can further specialize in any of the areas like sports management, exercise physiology and sports rehabilitation. You can explore some advanced roles like university lecturers, sports administrators, advanced fitness trainers, etc.

Admission Fees has been fixed Rs. 1,35,000/- (Rupees One Lacs Thirty Five Thousand Only) for two years Course.Rs.70000/- B.Ed First Year and Rs.65000/- for B.Ed Second Year.The amount includes the general fees, building & establishment fees, trainees' union fees, tuition fees and affiliation fees etc.

The admission of the candidates is made strictly on the basis of merit and selection test. The candidates have to pass the Common Entrance Test conducted by Gauhati University. The college issues admission form to the eligible candidates of Common Entrance Test in the month of June-July for each academic year as per the notification of Gauhati University. The academic session starts from the month of August.
