The qualification for a principal of a CBSE-affiliated senior secondary school (up to class XII) requires a Masters Degree or Honours Degree, a teaching degree or a Diploma in Education or its equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience of administrative charge of a recognised High School or at least 8 years of teaching experience in a recognised High School. As a BSc Chemistry graduate with 47 years of age, you will be eligible for a B.Ed program. Yes, you can do Master of Arts (M.A) after completing B.Com and B.Ed. However, it is important to note that you do not need an MA. Some universities offer candidates an M.A. degree with certificate. If you are pursuing MA in the humanities or social sciences then you should choose relevant subjects such as psychology, sociology, or history. However, if you are interested in studying a business-related subject such as finance or management, you must have a background in that subject before you are eligible to apply.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET June application on April 20, 2024. The last date for the UGC NET application form was May 19, 2024. However, the candidates could pay the application fee for the NTA NET June cycle till May 20, 2024, and application correction window was activated between May 21 to 23, 2024. The NTA UGC NET exam is scheduled to be conducted between August 21 to September 4, 2024.

It can be added here that the age restriction for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is up to 28 years from July 2022, and there is relaxation of 5 years in the age limit for candidates of the reserved category.
